Luxury Sedan Faceoff: Audi vs BMW

Are you looking for your next sedan? Do you want it to be extra luxurious? The segment is filled to the brim with amazing options, which can mean making a decision is much more difficult than you might like. We're here to break down two of the top competitors and figure out which one you should be driving home. The first sedan we're checking out is the 2019 Audi A4, which features minor adjustments to feature availability, advanced and easy-to-use safety features, a spacious back seat, a cool looking cabin, and revised names for the trim levels. The second sedan is the 2019 BMW 3 Series, which has been completely redesigned and offers a revised 4-cylinder engine, an upscale interior, sharp handling, and comfortable ride quality. Continue reading down below to find out which sedan comes out on top.

2019 Audi A4 Power & Handling

There are three unique configurations that come with the 2019 A4. The first option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, which can produce 188 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. This trim comes with front-wheel drive and works with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The next configuration comes with the A4 quattro, and is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, which produces 273 pound-feet of torque and 248 horsepower. The final engine option is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, which can pump out 369 pound-feet of torque and 349 horsepower. All-wheel drive comes standard, as does an eight-speed automatic transmission. As you can tell, power is no issue for the 2019 Audi A4.

2019 BMW 3 Series Power & Handling

Three engine options also come with the BMW 3 Series. The first configuration is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, which offers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Next up is the same 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, which instead puts out 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The final available engine is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6, which can create 300 pound-feet of torque and 300 horsepower. The standard transmission is an eight-speed Sport Automatic. While the engines do have plenty to offer, the most powerful engine in the lineup can't even begin to keep up with the Audi's top engine.
