About Newberry Florida

The Newberry area was originally developed as a mining town after phosphate was discovered. Eventually, in the early 1900s, agriculture took over the area. Today Newberry offers both residents and visitors small town charm and a Historic District that is on the National Register of Historic places. The town is known locally for its annual Watermelon Festival. The event includes free locally grown watermelons, and fun events such as a Big Melon contest, a beauty pageant, seed spitting contest, hog calling, and pie and cake baking.  Newberry is about a half hour west of our Audi dealership and we invite all from the Newberry area to see what Audi Gainesville has to offer!
