Audi EV Lineup

The e-Tron battery electric vehicle (BEV) powertrain is available for numerous Audi models, beginning with the e-Tron. However, there is also the e-Tron Sportback, Q4 e-Tron, Q4 Sportback e-Tron, S e-Tron, S Sportback e-Tron, eTron GT, and e-Tron RS. The e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback models use two electric motors and a rechargeable battery pack, providing 402 horsepower, 490 lb-ft of torque, a 226-mile driving range, and the equivalent of 79 miles per gallon. Meanwhile, the Q4 e-Tron models use a single electric motor on the rear axle powered by an 82 kWh battery pack. This offers 201 horsepower and a 295-mile driving range. The e-Tron S lineup uses three electric motors and a 95-kWh battery pack for 496 horsepower. Additionally, the e-Tron S lineup provides the gas equivalent of 73 MPG and a 208-mile driving range. The e-Tron GT uses dual-synchronous electric motors with a 93-kWh battery for up to 522 horsepower with Boost mode engaged, 82 MPGe, and a 238-mile driving range. The RS GT e-Tron offers up to 637 horsepower with the same powertrain as the GT while offering 81 MPGe and a driving range of up to 231. Lastly, the Q5 PHEV combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors for 362 horsepower, 369 lb-ft of torque, and an all-electric driving range of 23 miles.

There are numerous ways in which owning an EV can help save you money. Of course, with an Audi e-Tron model, you don't have to spend any money on gas, only electricity. On average, EV owners save around $700 each month on fuel. This is because electricity is a fraction of the cost of gas. In fact, each kilowatt hour of electricity usually costs between 10-15 cents. Meanwhile, the national average for each gallon of gasoline is close to four dollars. Another way owning an EV saves money is by reducing maintenance costs. EVs require less maintenance simply due to the fact that they use fewer mechanical parts. With the absence of an internal combustion engine, EVs don't require routine maintenance like oil changes, spark plug changes, fluid flushes, and others. However, normal wear and tear things like tire rotations and brake replacements are still required for EVs.

This is because electricity is sent to the wheels instantly. Whereas with an internal combustion engine, the engine has to ignite the fuel and air inside the cylinders, send the power to the transmission, which then sends the power to the wheels. The electric power of the e-Tron lineup gives drivers 0-60 times as low as 3.1 seconds with the e-Tron RS GT. The slowest 0-60 time of the e-Tron lineup is just 5.5 seconds, still faster than most gas-powered vehicles.
